AXA Achievement Scholarship

  • Be United States citizens or legal residents living or claiming residency in one of the 50 united states, Washington, D.C. or Puerto Rico
  • Be current high school seniors who plan to enroll full-time in an accredited two-year or four-year college or university in the United States for the entire 2018-2019 academic year
  • Demonstrate ambition and self-drive as evidenced by outstanding achievement in school, community or work-related activities
    • Because reducing risk is woven into the fabric of our company, special consideration is given to achievements that empower society to mitigate risk through education and/or action in areas such as financial, environmental, health, safety and/or emergency preparedness You must be one of the first 10,000 scholarships submitted.  Deadline: December 15th, or until 10,000 are received.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 1450 or higher on the old-style two-part SAT (verbal and math) or
  • 1490 or higher on the new-style two-part SAT (verbal and math) or
  • 33 or higher on the ACT or
  • 1470 or higher on the PSAT
  • First-time college freshman
    • AP, IB, CLEP, and Dual-Credit acceptable
    • Current UT Dallas students or Transfer students not eligible

Additional Considerations

  • A class rank in the top five percent of their graduating class
  • Long records of leadership in school and community volunteerism
  • Broad and eclectic interests in science, literature, and the arts
  • Social skills to interact easily with adults as well as peers

UTSA General Scholarships

Scholarship eligibility: Only one General Scholarship Application is required for all General Scholarships awarded through the Scholarship Division of the Office of Student Financial Aid & Enrollment Services. Freshmen students must submit the ApplyTexas Scholarship Application.

General scholarships: UTSA General Scholarships are awarded to recipients based on both need and merit. Need-based scholarships rely on financial information obtained from the FAFSA and any supplemental documentation required by a specific scholarship while merit-based scholarships rely on the demonstration of high academic performance and also any supplemental documentation required by a specific scholarship. All students are strongly encouraged to complete the FAFSA each year, along with their general scholarship application.

Scholarship Information

This scholarship pays for four years of full tuition at any college/university with an active ROTC program, e.g. University of Texas, Texas A&M, Rice and Prairie View A&M.
The applicant does not need to enlist into the military in order to apply.
The applicant must be admitted to a college/university prior to receiving the scholarship.
There are no limitations or requirements regarding their field of study.
After earning their bachelor’s degree, the recipient would serve as a Marine officer for four years, in one of the large variety of career fields that the Marine Corps has to offer.
