The Parental Involvement program allows parents to participate in the educational, social, and emotional development of their son or daughter. Further, it provides a support and networking system where they can communicate and learn cooperatively. All meetings are held in English and Spanish, with topics that relate to adolescents and/or families.

2010 DISTRICT WIDE PARENTAL INVOLVEMENT MEETINGS:
The February 4th, 11th, & 16th Support Group Meetings are being cancelled. Instead, a District-Wide Parent Meeting will be held on Thursday, February 18th at Biblioteca Las Americas in Mercedes at 6:30 PM. This meeting will also be simultaneously translated into Spanish.
The topic for the meeting is: “Operation Detour: Protecting Your Children” presented by US Customs & Border Protection.
February 4th, 11th, & 16th: Support Group Meetings at 10:00 AM in McAllen area (location to be announced)
April 8th, 15th, & 22nd: Support Group Meetings at 10:00 AM in Brownsville area (location to be announced)
Invitations will be mailed to all parents for these meetings. Parents can attend the meetings that are more convenient.
PARENT RESOURCE CENTERS: Parent Resource Centers (PRCs) are available at each library for parents to visit at their leisure. View parent videos, read, and/or check out materials.
